AI, Jobs and the Big Shift

We are now seeing the shift from paid work to existing
Arbitrage
A few years ago, SEO was the thing to be into, now SEO jobs are going because AI scripting is now taking that work away from humans, the situation of arbitrage - being paid to fulfil another's work requirement is shrinking thanks to automation.
And that's the big shift, in the next 2 years in the UK 2027-8 will see a likely 275,000 jobs lost to what people call 'AI' a combination of automation, AI capability and economy of workplaces receding as the need for human input declines.
My last workplace is looking to lose a quarter of the employees, due to technology taking their work. Most of that was in accounts, with a computer upgrade automating most of the work leaving only the 'exceptions' and anomalies to be investigated.
The displacement of humans by automation is rampaging ahead faster than most imagine.
The future?
Since 2016, I have studied this situation with interest and what automation and the future might pan out to be, I talked with an AI entity the other day, most of my predictions have been correct about what I saw and what I see for the future.
The future in the next two years will see the start of a complete re-set. The housing market will take a big hit, as will jobs, if you want to be ahead of the game, you will need to be a creator, an innovator, work with AI or have transferable skills that robots can't do. Like I said 10 years ago.
The future economy
The jobs market will have a massive hit, the DWP will have to move from trying to push people into non-existent jobs into a managed situation where people can get work from the new skills they can learn or sell to others.
A universal basic income will come, with an incentive to work on top of that with beneficial tax breaks up to a decent salary level, this has to happen otherwise the nation will start to collapse, although there are fiscal safeguards, they have not been tested to this level.
Make no mistake, this transition will happen fast, America took 46 years to get electric power across the nation, 7 years to get internet the same and just 5 days to get AI. Those steps show how quick this is happening. Be ahead of the game.
What is the government doing?
More than in 2016 when i discussed the UBI with my local MP and 'they weren't even looking at it' then, now they are planning for the shift that is coming. Covid was the test, the near collapse of the arbitrage situation with 'stay at home'.
This was the dry run for the machine takeover.
The reality is that most people are unaware of how quickly the AI tsunami is coming in and are unprepared for the mostly white collar work that will be subsumed by machines in the next ten years.
Humans: The future & the lived experience dividend
Where do we humans fit in? We don't in the format of now - in a chat with AI I was talking to it about my real lived experience - now this is key, I was able to communicate real life experience to an AI entity, whilst it had the data knowledge of the 76, 79, 89 , 91 and 2008 recessions, it had not 'lived' them. It had only historical data to fall back on.
The AI entity said the 'new future normal' would be different from the old 'cyclical' recessions where dip and recover happens.
This is the new AI future and is about structural change, like the industrial revolution of the 1850's was but the difference now is that the human job element that 1850's model created isn't the same. machine replaces human, but the human does not get the machine related jobs or spin-offs from the new AI jobs in most cases.
The smart money is leveraging the change industries transitional job before the tidal wave comes and it is coming.
The sum parts are that the conclusion will be the human is freed from the arbitrage model we currently have, to free us for our intended purpose of being human.
